Green Bay area athletes prepare for WIAA state track and field meet

The WIAA state track and field meet is scheduled for June 5-6 at Veterans Memorial Stadium in La Crosse. Athletes from the Green Bay area, including Lincoln Arneson, Lera Black, and Maximus Davis, aim to make significant impacts this year. Arneson ranks first in Division 2 for the 400-meter dash and has also qualified for the 200. Black is competing in the pole vault and triple jump, while Davis leads the pole vault field following a standout sectional performance. Additionally, competitors Hunter Dehart and Kolton Peters are expected to shine in their respective events after successful sectionals. The weekend is anticipated to be competitive, showcasing many talented athletes.
