Grêmio goalkeeper Weverton collapsed on the pitch shortly before the start of Monday’s Brasileirão match against Vitória. The incident occurred while players from both teams were in position waiting for the opening whistle. Medical staff from the Rio Grande do Sul side entered the field to assist the goalkeeper after the referee paused the proceedings. Defender Walace indicated to the SportTV reporting team that Weverton experienced blurred vision during the collapse.
