Grêmio retains membership in Libra after considering FFU move

Grêmio has decided to remain with Libra instead of joining the Futebol Forte União (FFU). Grêmio, navigating a cash flow crisis, had hoped to gain immediate funds through FFU but found the late entry would diminish potential earnings. The decision has secured Grêmio a position on Libra’s management committee, represented by CEO Alex Leitão, while Flamengo has agreed to provide R$ 24 million to Grêmio over several years. The club still faces unpaid wages and debts to foreign clubs.
