Grizzlies rookie Cameron Boozer prepares for his first NBA season

Cameron Boozer enters his first season with the Memphis Grizzlies following a standout freshman campaign at Duke. Selected third overall in the 2026 NBA draft, Boozer earned consensus National Player of the Year honors after averaging 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. He became the only freshman in history to record at least 700 points, 300 rebounds, and 100 assists in a single season. During his summer league debut with the Grizzlies, he averaged 18.5 points and 8.0 rebounds, earning a spot on the All-Summer League first team. The forward wears jersey No. 27 to honor his mother, who played collegiate volleyball. Boozer previously competed for USA Basketball at the junior level, securing gold medals in both the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup and the 2023 FIBA U16 Americas Championship.
