Guide dog Yoko receives special team kit for closing ceremony

During the Commonwealth Games on August 2, Wales secured a bronze medal in the visually impaired mixed pairs bowls, leading to a unique award for Julie Thomas' guide dog, Yoko. Team Wales' Chef de Mission, Gethin Jones, revealed that a custom kit had been created for Yoko, which will be worn during the closing ceremony. Thomas, who has competed with her guide dog at three Commonwealth Games, expressed her excitement about Yoko finally receiving the kit, which includes her name in Braille. The kit also coincides with Yoko's birthday, enhancing the celebration.
