Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu drives historic F1 car before Italian GP

Haas Formula 1 team principal Ayao Komatsu completed a track session this week in a historic 1990 Footwork Arrows A11B ahead of the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. The Cosworth-powered vehicle, which was historically raced by Michele Alboreto, Alex Caffi, and Bernd Schneider, took to the track as part of the team's preparations for the 13th round of the season. Haas enters the weekend seeking to improve its performance after failing to score points in the six races following their initial campaign success. The American team currently holds seventh place in the constructors' standings with 21 points. Team drivers Ollie Bearman and Esteban Ocon have completed three practice sessions at the circuit to calibrate the latest upgrade package on the VF-26. Komatsu emphasized the importance of the race weekend for the team, given their design office is based nearby in Maranello.
