Haeran Ryu secures first major title at KPMG Women's PGA Championship

Haeran Ryu won her first career major title at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, finishing at 13 under par at Hazeltine National Golf Club. Ryu recovered from a rough start, shooting a final round of two-under 70 to beat Ina Yoon by two shots. After opening with a 73, Ryu was tied for 70th before making a comeback, marking her as the first player in 60 years to win a major after trailing by 10 or more shots. She becomes the sixth South Korean champion in this event's history. Nelly Korda, who sought to win her third major of the season, finished tied for eighth with a score of 73.
