Hakeem Adeniji retires shortly after signing with Ravens

Hakeem Adeniji, formerly a Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman, has announced his retirement from the NFL after a brief stint with the Baltimore Ravens. Adeniji, 28, signed with the Ravens as training camps began but was placed on the reserve-retired list shortly thereafter. He was a sixth-round draft pick in 2020 and previously experienced time as a starter, including a Super Bowl appearance. Following his time with the Bengals, he had brief tenures with Minnesota and Cleveland before joining Baltimore. The Bengals now have the same starting offensive line for the second consecutive season in the Joe Burrow era.
