Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow requests salary increase for next NRL contract

Dolphins fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has reportedly set an asking price of $1.4 million per season for his next contract. The requested figure would position him among the highest-paid players in the NRL. Preliminary negotiations have commenced between the club and the player, who remains interested in remaining with the Dolphins. However, the team faces significant salary cap challenges with several key roster members, including Herbie Farnworth, Kulikefu Finefeuiaki, Selwyn Cobbo, and Jack Bostock, also coming off-contract at the end of 2027. While the club intends to retain the fullback, they must manage these multiple upcoming contract renewals simultaneously. Tabuai-Fidow is expected to feature for Samoa in the upcoming World Cup, and any player unsigned by November 1 will become eligible for recruitment by rival clubs.
