Hansi Flick informs Jules Kounde he is no longer Barcelona's first choice

Summary

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has communicated to Jules Kounde that he is no longer the primary choice for the right-back position, with Eric Garcia now favored for that spot. Kounde transitioned from a central role to right-back but lost his position at the end of last season. Flick indicated that while Kounde may see time at center-back, he is not expected to be the starter there either, as Pau Cubarsi and Gerard Martin lead the preference chart. Kounde has faced transfer rumors throughout the summer but expressed a commitment to remaining with the club, stating he has a contract until 2030.
