Haotong Li incurs one-stroke penalty at the Amgen Irish Open

Haotong Li received a one-stroke penalty during the third round of the Amgen Irish Open at Trump International Doonbeg. The penalty occurred on the par-5 10th hole after Li’s ball moved while he was positioned in a stream. Li consulted with a rules official and fellow competitor Shane Lowry before attempting to replace the ball near its original spot. The DP World Tour confirmed the violation of Rule 9.4b, resulting in a bogey for Li on the hole. Prior to the incident, Li was tied for third place at 10 under par. Shane Lowry holds the tournament lead heading into the final round on Sunday.
