Harold Landry III unlikely to play in season opener for Patriots

Summary

New England Patriots linebacker Harold Landry III may miss the season opener against the Seattle Seahawks on September 9. There is a growing lack of optimism surrounding his recovery from a knee injury, as reported by New England Football Journal’s Kevin Stone. Landry has been on the physically unable to perform list throughout training camp and did not practice this summer. The team faces a pivotal roster decision by August 30, which could see Landry placed on reserve/PUP, sidelining him for at least the first four games of the season.
