Harry Kane wins 2026 Ballon d'Or amid DFB-Pokal predictions

Harry Kane has won the 2026 Ballon d’Or, marking a career turnaround after years of near misses. Playing for Bayern Munich, Kane scored 73 goals in 65 appearances during the 2025/26 season, contributing to a domestic treble and a third-place finish for England in the World Cup. His victory ended a 25-year streak for English players without this honor, with Kane becoming the first since Michael Owen. Meanwhile, Bayern is set to face FC Magdeburg in the DFB-Pokal, following a series of matches in the tournament that concluded on October 28, 2026.
