Hawaii softball signs five recruits for the 2027 season

Hawaii softball head coach Panita Thanatharn announced the signing of five new recruits for the 2027 season on Wednesday. The incoming class includes three players with local Hawaii ties, headlined by Kierstyn Aumua, Trendee Kahunahana, and the return of Madixx Muramoto to the roster. Joining them are California natives Samantha Almaraz and Mikalah Nitta, both of whom will look to contribute to the Rainbow Wahine program. These additions follow the previous signings of Palehua Silva and Ashannalee Titialii. In other local sports developments, Chaminade baseball added Garett Yukumoto and Trevor Ichimura to the coaching staff, while the Hawaii Sports Officials Hall of Fame named six inductees for the class of 2026. The hall of fame members will be honored at an induction banquet held at the Ala Moana Hotel on September 13.
