Hawaii volleyball team names captains ahead of exhibition match

VolleyballHawaii women's volleyball coach Joshua Walker named team captains on the first day of fall camp. Fourth-year junior Tali Hakas and third-year players Miliana Sylvester and Victoria Leyva received leadership roles. The Rainbow Wahine will face Chaminade in an exhibition match today at 7 p.m. after a canceled trip due to Hurricane Lala. Leyva, last season's starting libero, emphasized the importance of team chemistry as they adapt to Walker’s new system. The match will consist of four sets regardless of an outcome in the first three. Walker's assistant coach, Kolby Kanetake, will coach against his former team, Chaminade, which had a 16-14 season last year.
