Hayden Simmerson transfers from Clemson to Tennessee for final eligibility season

Former Clemson reliever Hayden Simmerson announced his commitment to transfer to Tennessee. The right-hander had a successful season at Clemson with a 3.62 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 32.1 innings. Simmerson previously excelled at Division II Catawba, earning all-conference honors. He is the third former Clemson player to transfer to an SEC school this offseason. Simmerson is also eligible for this weekend's MLB Draft, leaving his college future uncertain.
