Heat might pursue Russell Westbrook if LeBron James signs elsewhere

Summary

The Miami Heat are reportedly considering adding nine-time All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook if they fail to sign LeBron James this offseason. The Heat, along with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers, are among the teams James is reportedly interested in. Westbrook, who averaged 15.2 points last season with the Kings, could serve as a valuable addition for a Heat team that needs ball-handling and shot creation. Westbrook's potential signing would come after Miami's efforts to land James are resolved, as the team anticipates making a move for Westbrook soon thereafter.
