Henrik Rydstrom has been hired as the head coach of Hammarby Fotball, announced on June 5, 2026. This comes less than a month after his departure from Columbus Crew, where he had a record of 3-4-7 in regular-season play. Rydstrom will be joined by former Crew assistant coach Theodor Olsson. Hammarby currently sits at 5-4-2 in the Allsvenskan League, having lost their last three matches before the FIFA World Cup break.
