Henry Cejudo challenges Song Yadong to a wrestling match in Miami

Retired UFC fighter Henry Cejudo has publicly challenged Song Yadong to a Real American Freestyle wrestling match. Cejudo issued the callout on September 7, 2026, proposing that the two compete in Miami with a belt on the line. The potential matchup comes after Song Yadong’s recent knockout victory over Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC Shanghai. Cejudo, who remains active in various combat sports despite his retirement, cited a desire for revenge regarding a previous defeat as motivation for the challenge. He stated that he is ready to compete and has directed Song Yadong to sign a contract within two weeks. Song Yadong, who trains with Team Alpha Male, has yet to officially respond to the proposal.
