Henry Coates wins maiden PDC title at Players Championship 25

Henry Coates, 20, won his first PDC title at Players Championship 25 held in Hildesheim, Germany. Coates averaged 104.88 in the final, defeating Damon Heta 8-4., Coates does not hold a PDC Tour card, making him the fifth player in history to win a ranking title without one. Gian van Veen and Michael van Gerwen were notable early exits in the tournament. The next major event is the BoyleSports World Grand Prix in September.
