Herald News names 15 local golfers for athlete of the week ballot

The Herald News has opened voting for its first Athlete of the Week award for the 2025-26 academic year. The ballot features 15 student-athletes from five Fall River-area schools, covering golf performances recorded between September 1 and September 4. Athletes from Joseph Case, Diman, Durfee, Somerset Berkley, and Westport are eligible for the recognition. Fans and supporters are encouraged to cast their votes online at the newspaper’s website. The voting process is scheduled to remain open until September 13. The final winner will be announced publicly following the conclusion of the polling period on the website and the social media platform X.
