High-A Beloit finishes season as other Marlins farm teams prepare for playoffs

The High-A Beloit Sky Carp concluded their season on Sunday with an 8-5 loss against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Despite finishing with a 66-65 record and a 39-27 mark in the second half, the team placed two games out of first in the Midwest League South Division. Cody Schrier led the club with 16 home runs and 50 RBI, while Liomar Martinez recorded 146 strikeouts on the mound. Elsewhere in the farm system, the Jupiter Hammerheads are set to face the Daytona Tortugas in a three-game playoff series beginning Tuesday. The Pensacola Blue Wahoos also enter postseason action on September 15 against a Milwaukee Brewers affiliate. Meanwhile, the Triple-A Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp continue their schedule Tuesday against the Gwinnett Stripers following a series split with the Norfolk Tides.
