Highland Park Golf Course, established in 1903, remains Alabama's oldest golf course and a local favorite in Birmingham. The 18-hole, par-70 course, known for its challenging layout and scenic features, opened to the public in 1927 and underwent a million-dollar renovation in 2019. Charley Boswell, a celebrated blind golfer and World War II veteran, was honored when the course was renamed in 1955. GOLF Magazine recognized it as one of the top 100 value courses in the country.
