Highlands and Campbell County players honored with Tom Browning scholarship

Kaitlyn Dixon of Highlands and Tyler Schumacher of Campbell County are the 2026 Tom Browning Scholarship recipients, as announced by the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum on July 29. The $5,000 scholarship recognizes baseball and softball pitchers from Greater Cincinnati who excel on the field and contribute to their communities. Dixon, a first-team All-Kentucky selection, led her team to a state semifinal appearance with a standout performance on the mound. Schumacher, also an All-Kentucky pick, had an impressive season on both the plate and the mound. The athletes will be honored before the Reds game on August 5.
