Hill and McMillan qualify for swimming semi-finals at Commonwealth Games

Danielle Hill and Jack McMillan have advanced to the swimming semi-finals at the Commonwealth Games taking place at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre. Hill, a European champion, won her women's 50m backstroke heat with a time of 28.04 seconds, finishing just behind Canada's Kylie Masse. McMillan secured his spot by placing fifth in the men's 100m freestyle heat with a time of 49.51 seconds. Hill's teammate Lottie Cullen narrowly missed qualifying, falling short by 0.11 seconds for a top-16 placing.
