Hill College men’s soccer team targets conference championship in 2026

Hill College men’s soccer opens its 2026 season with a roster consisting of nine returners, 10 transfers, and nine freshmen. Head coach Ivan Franco leads the program following a 2025 season that ended as Region 5 runner-up after a shootout loss to Western Texas College. The team looks to improve squad depth to avoid the health issues that sidelined six players during last year's championship final. The Rebels expect to move into a new campus stadium this year, marking the program's first true home venue after playing at various regional parks. To secure a return to the Region 5 final, the team aims to win four of its six conference games. Derrick Gonzalez joins the coaching staff as an assistant to support the team’s development.
