Hillsdale and Jonesville athletes shine at D3 track finals

Hillsdale County track and field athletes achieved success at the Division 3 state finals held in Kent City. Logan Youngman of Hillsdale captured the state title in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 9:26.08, marking his first championship. The Jonesville boys 4x800 relay team also won a state title, finishing in 8:01.99. Nicholas Fowler, part of the winning relay squad, also placed 13th in the 800. Other notable performances included Caleb Blonde finishing third in the 800 and individual participation from other athletes in multiple events. Hillsdale’s athletes showed strong results across various events, with more competitions anticipated this summer.
