Holland soccer loses first game to Unity Christian, prepares for districts

Holland High School's soccer team experienced its first defeat of the season, losing 1-0 to Unity Christian on October 12. This loss came in the regular-season finale and denied Holland a conference championship. Despite controlling play and creating numerous scoring opportunities, Holland could not find the net. The team finished the regular season with a record of 13-1-4 and will now focus on the Division 2 district tournament, beginning with a match against Zeeland East on Thursday. Coach Greg Ceithaml emphasized the team's resilience and determination to use this setback as motivation moving forward.
