Honesdale and Western Wayne golfers qualify for District 2 tournament

Nine golfers from Honesdale and Western Wayne advanced to the District 2 Championships after strong performances at pre-districts on September 28 at Elkview Country Club. Honesdale's Trevan Dahlgren led the way with a round of 76, tying for medalist honors. Alongside Dahlgren, Reed Howell, Maddox Johnson, Woodlan Reynolds, Reese Dennis, and Sam Tirney qualified for Honesdale, while Western Wayne's Archer Long, Max Graci, and Noah Benson also made the cut. The district tournament is scheduled for October 5 at Elkview. Both teams are placing high in their league standings, with Honesdale at 11-5 and Western Wayne at 12-2 heading into the final stretch of the season.
