HoopsHype ranks Philadelphia 76ers guard Anfernee Simons as league's 26th shooting guard

The Philadelphia 76ers roster includes Anfernee Simons as an addition for the upcoming NBA season. HoopsHype recently placed the 8-year veteran at No. 26 on its list of the top 27 shooting guards in the league. Simons spent the 2025-26 season splitting time between the Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls, where he averaged 14.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists over 55 games. The guard has previously posted three seasons with 19.3 or more points per game, reaching a three-year stretch where he averaged 20.7 points and 4.7 assists on 37.4 percent three-point shooting. Coach Nick Nurse intends to use the veteran as a scoring option off the bench to assist a unit that has previously faced challenges. Simons is expected to provide backcourt depth alongside Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe.
