The Houston Astros promoted catching prospect Jason Schiavone from Double-A Corpus Christi to Triple-A Sugar Land on September 8, 2026. The organization's sixth-ranked prospect has produced a significant statistical season, leading the system with 31 home runs, 86 RBI, a.533 slugging percentage, and 219 total bases. Schiavone previously earned back-to-back Minor League Player of the Month honors in April and May while moving from High-A Asheville to the Double-A level.
