The Houston Astros recalled right-hander Ronel Blanco and outfielder Jake Meyers from Triple-A Sugar Land as MLB rosters expanded to 28 players on Tuesday. Blanco is scheduled to start the team's upcoming game against the Chicago White Sox. He previously returned from elbow surgery in July and made five appearances with a 7.71 ERA before his reassignment. Meyers, the team's opening-day center fielder, returns to the major-league roster after spending time in Triple-A since early July. He currently holds a.213 average and a.594 OPS across 54 games this season. His return adds depth to an outfield rotation that already includes Daulton Varsho, who joined the club at the trade deadline.
