Houston Rockets strengthen point guard roster with new veteran and rookie additions

The Houston Rockets have added depth to the point guard position following the injury-shortened 2025-26 season. Marcus Smart signed a two-year contract on July 10, 2026, to serve as the primary backup to Fred VanVleet.
