Houston Texans acquire Kayshon Boutte from New England Patriots

Summary

The Houston Texans have added wide receiver Kayshon Boutte from the New England Patriots in exchange for safety Jaylen Reed and a 2028 seventh-round pick. Boutte's acquisition comes after the Texans lost Jayden Higgins to a season-ending ACL injury, prompting a need for additional receiving threats. Following his previous season, where Boutte totaled 33 receptions for 551 yards and six touchdowns, he is expected to enhance the Texans' offensive capabilities as they prepare for the upcoming 2026 NFL season. Houston will look for Boutte to step into a larger role amidst concerns about the health of other wide receivers on the roster.
