Houston Texans sign Jaden Crumedy from Green Bay Packers practice squad

The Houston Texans signed defensive lineman Jaden Crumedy off the Green Bay Packers practice squad on Friday. The move follows the team placing defensive tackle Kayden McDonald on injured reserve. Under NFL rules, Crumedy must remain on the Texans' 53-man roster for at least three weeks. Crumedy previously participated in the Packers' preseason and spent the 2025 season with the Carolina Panthers. His departure from the Green Bay practice squad allows the team to re-sign receiver Bo Melton to the group ahead of the Week 1 game against the Minnesota Vikings. Green Bay continues to carry seven defensive tackles on its active 53-man roster.
