Houston Texans strengthen offensive line with key additions ahead of new season

Summary

The Houston Texans have made significant upgrades to their offensive line ahead of the 2026 NFL season. They added veteran right tackle Braden Smith, guard Wyatt Teller, and rookie Keylan Rutledge to improve protection for quarterback C.J. Stroud. Last season, the Texans' offensive line had the third-lowest pass block win rate, leading to inconsistent play on offense. The new additions aim to provide Stroud with the stability and time needed to leverage the team's receiving corps and establish a more effective running game.
