Huddersfield Giants announce move to Dewsbury for 2027 season

Huddersfield Giants will relocate to Dewsbury's Flair Stadium for the 2027 season, investing over £10 million in a stadium redevelopment. The project aims to enhance facilities, raising the venue's capacity from 5,000 to approximately 8,000. Extensive negotiations with Dewsbury Rams facilitated the agreement, allowing both teams to utilize the upgraded venue. This decision follows a period of uncertainty for the Giants, who have been seeking a long-term home in Huddersfield. Club owner Ken Davy emphasized the commitment to finding a permanent location but acknowledged the necessity of the move to Dewsbury in the meantime.
