Huddersfield Town signs former Colchester United forward Samson Tovide

Huddersfield Town completed the signing of striker Samson Tovide on a three-year contract. The forward joins the club after departing Colchester United earlier this summer. Tovide, an academy product of the Essex club, made 151 appearances across all competitions during his tenure there. He scored 21 goals for Colchester, including five in 47 appearances during the previous season. Contract discussions had been held between the player and his former club before he finalized his move to Huddersfield. Tovide stated that he chose his new side to focus on his professional development.
