Hughes emphasizes focus on Albania before World Cup aspirations

Wales forward Elise Hughes highlighted the importance of Tuesday's play-off second leg against Albania in Llanelli, as Wales holds a narrow 1-0 lead from the first leg. Hughes expressed that reaching the World Cup would fulfill a lifelong ambition, stressing that winning the upcoming match is crucial. Head coach Rhian Wilkinson noted the team's need for improvement after the first leg, indicating they cannot afford complacency. A draw in the second leg would secure Wales' place in the next stage of qualifying for the tournament in Brazil next summer, where they would face either Norway or Romania in a subsequent play-off final.
