Hundreds of sailors compete in Classic Channel Regatta in Guernsey

More than 80 yachts and hundreds of sailing enthusiasts are participating in the Classic Channel Regatta in Guernsey this weekend. Crews will first gather for a reception at Castle Cornet on Saturday before setting sail for Lézardrieux, France, the following day. This event follows the recent Harbour Carnival and the Tour des Ports de la Manche, which attracted over 100 yachts. Kieran Higgs, head of port operations, highlighted the regattas as a key attraction of the summer season, with over 200 yachts expected to arrive in Guernsey. The event showcases the island's appeal as a destination for marine tourism.
