Hunter Goodman plays in MLB All-Star Game as Rockies fall to AL
Summary

Hunter Goodman represented the Colorado Rockies during the MLB All-Star Game on July 14, 2026, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. Despite the National League's 4-0 defeat to the American League, Goodman participated as a catcher and registered one at-bat. Criticism arose over his absence from the starting lineup, with Atlanta Braves catcher Drake Baldwin chosen instead. Goodman caught Dodgers pitcher Justin Wrobleski but could not prevent a home run by Chicago White Sox's Miguel Vargas. With the All-Star break concluded, Goodman heads back to the Rockies, aiming for his 30th home run this season as they resume play on July 17 at Coors Field.
