Hunter Greene begins rehab assignment with Louisville Bats on June 23

Cincinnati Reds pitcher Hunter Greene will start a rehab assignment with the Louisville Bats on Tuesday, June 23. Greene, recovering from elbow surgery and bone chips, is expected to appear against the St. Paul Saints at Slugger Field. This follows a successful rehab outing where he pitched four shutout innings with six strikeouts. The Reds recently activated All-Star shortstop Elly De La Cruz from the injured list, adding him to the lineup for their ongoing series against the Milwaukee Brewers. Outfielder Will Benson was optioned to Triple-A to accommodate De La Cruz's return.
