Huntington Beach defeats Corona to reach Division I baseball final

Huntington Beach advanced to the Division I championship game with an 11-3 victory over Corona in the Southern California Regional playoffs. Dane Cunningham led the Oilers with a two-run home run, while Maxx Hopkins also contributed with a homer. Jared Grindlinger added two RBIs, and Tanner Brown struck out six over five innings. Huntington Beach will compete for the title on Saturday against the winner of La Mirada and Cathedral Catholic. Other divisions also concluded semifinals, with Newport Harbor, Kaiser, North Torrance, and Coastal Academy each advancing to their respective championship games.
