Hurricanes fans chant at Carter Hart during Stanley Cup Final Game 1

During Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, Carolina Hurricanes fans chanted "No means no" directed at Vegas Golden Knights goalie Carter Hart. The chants were linked to Hart's involvement in a high-profile sexual assault trial in 2024, in which he and four other players were found not guilty. All five players were charged after a 2018 incident but had their cases dismissed in July 2025. Hart, who took a leave from the Philadelphia Flyers prior to the charges, signed with the Golden Knights in October 2025 and played his first game in December. The Golden Knights currently lead the series 1-0 after a 5-4 victory in this game.
