Hurricanes prospects lose to Predators in showcase despite strong efforts

The Carolina Hurricanes faced the Nashville Predators in the annual Prospect Showcase held at Lane Arena on Sunday. The match ended with a 4-1 victory for the Predators. After a scoreless first period, the Predators took the lead in the second with a goal from Michel Myloserdnyy. Zachary Lansard responded for the Hurricanes, but they could not close the gap as the Predators scored twice more, including an empty-net goal. A skills competition followed, which ended with one goal from the Predators' Joey Willis after 20 attempts. The Hurricanes' next game is against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday at 2:00 PM EDT.
