Hutchinson shuts out Butler 24-0 in ranked football clash

The second-ranked Hutchinson football team secured a 24-0 victory over No. 12 Butler on September 20 in El Dorado, Kansas. Hutchinson scored on its opening drive with a five-yard touchdown run by JB Price and extended the lead with a 79-yard touchdown throw from Randy Phillips to Jeremiah Looney at the end of the first quarter. Two additional touchdowns included a second TD pass from Phillips to Karlan Ransom in the third quarter. Hutchinson dominated total yards, outgaining Butler 426 to 114, with Phillips passing for 254 yards and two touchdowns. Hutchinson (4-0) will host No. 1 Iowa Western next Saturday, while Butler (1-2) will face Highland the same day.
