I was lucky': Steve Smith survives close call on Day 1 against Bangladesh

On Day 1 of the first Test in Darwin, Steve Smith admitted to edging a delivery from Ebadot Hossain, which was given not out after a review failed to detect any contact. Batting at the time, Smith had already started to walk off the field but was relieved as technology confirmed his survival. He went on to score 71 runs, becoming Australia's top scorer in the innings. Bangladesh dismissed Australia for 198, spearheaded by Hasan Mahmud's impressive six-wicket haul. In addition to the review incident, Smith also survived an earlier dropped catch.
