Ifeanyi Ndukwe prepares for Levante debut ahead of potential Liverpool return

Liverpool prospect Ifeanyi Ndukwe is expected to make his debut for Levante during Sunday's match against Barcelona. The 18-year-old defender joined the Spanish side on loan after failing to secure a work permit to play for Liverpool following the conclusion of his pre-season campaign. Ndukwe initially joined the Anfield club during the previous January transfer window but remained ineligible for Premier League action. Manager Andoni Iraola integrated him into the pre-season squad, where the teenager earned praise for his performances alongside Luke Chambers. With Virgil van Dijk’s contract scheduled to expire in June, Ndukwe’s development at Levante is viewed as a pathway toward a future role within the Liverpool first team. Should he secure a regular starting position in Spain, the defender remains an option for the Reds to help address defensive needs.
