IHSAA girls' golf state meet relocates to Lafayette due to flooding

The 2026 IHSAA girls golf state championship will take place at Battle Ground Golf Club in Lafayette on October 2-3. The move from Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel is due to significant flooding that affected course conditions. IHSAA assistant commissioner Chris Kaufman stated that Prairie View faced numerous issues impacting their ability to host the finals. Battle Ground, a par 72 course measuring 7,100 yards, was chosen for its quality conditions, having recently hosted the Indiana PGA Women's Open. Prairie View has hosted the state event since 2014 and is working to open fully next week.
