Ilkley Harriers group supports runners with learning disabilities

The Ilkley Harriers Learning Disability Running Group, founded by Caroline Tong, is helping individuals with learning disabilities improve fitness, make friends, and gain confidence since its inception in 2024. The group, which started with just three members, now has 13 regular participants. Weekly runs are designed to be inclusive, allowing everyone to keep pace together. The group has been nominated for the Unsung Project of the Year by England Athletics, with the winner to be announced on Friday.
